Are they insured? Accidents happen and sometimes they’re unavoidable. The important thing is that your mover is equipped to take responsibility if they are at fault.

Do they have a cancelation policy? Whenever you’re required to prepay for a service it’s good practice to know what you’ve signed up for.

Are they a registered company? You’re letting people you’ve never met into your home.

How do they answer their phone? I know it may sound trivial, but if they’re not holding a high standard of professionalism in representing their business, then what kind of standard do they hold when made responsible for your property?

Can you get in touch with them within a reasonable time frame? How long does it take them to return a call or email? For the times when you need to be in contact with your mover this will save your sanity.
